Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Piyush. As of January 2025, I am pursuing my master’s in Digital Marketing with Data Analytics at Coventry University London. I arrived in London on September 13, 2024, and took a few days to settle in and adjust to my new surroundings.
Whom did I followed ?
Inspired by Ritwik Arya’s resume format, I began revamping my own resume to target both part-time and full-time roles. I am a dedicated follower of his YouTube channel, and I can confidently say his videos have been incredibly helpful, especially during my research phase before coming to London.
Where to apply ?
When it came to applying for part-time jobs, two key questions arose: what types of jobs should I apply for, and where should I apply? After some thoughtful consideration, I decided to prepare two versions of my resume—one tailored for kitchen porter roles and another for sales/retail assistant positions. From the very next day, I started applying for part-time opportunities through platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, Indeed Flex, Total Jobs, and more.
How its going ?
Despite my consistent efforts from September 2024 until today, January 17, 2025, I am yet to receive a positive response. Meanwhile, some of my friends who had references through their connections secured jobs as early as October 2024, while others found roles around December 2024.
I remain hopeful and committed to my job search, and I will continue to update this blog with new developments. Stay tuned!
